Counter height changes the feel of a room. Seated at 36 in, people are closer to eye level with whoever is cooking, which is why this 35 in square table works so well against a kitchen island or in the corner of an open living area. Four stools come with it, each one padded and wrapped in Pvc leather, so breakfast, a round of cards or an after-work drink all have a place to happen. The structure is straightforward and sturdy. Natural rubber wood legs support the table and every stool, reinforced bottom structures resist warping and cracking, and the ratings back it up: 220 lbs on the tabletop and 350 lbs on each stool. The veneered Mdf top is waterproof and cleans with a wipe, which matters for a surface that sees coffee cups in the morning and cutting boards at night. Each stool measures 16 in x 11 in x 24 in and slides completely under the table, so a galley kitchen or small apartment keeps its walking room..
