Black metal gives this queen bed a graphic edge, and the frame backs up the look with function. Four fabric drawers on casters slide out from under the platform, each with a 29.5 x 20 x 5 in interior, turning the dead space beneath the mattress into a home for sweaters, sheets, and everything a small closet cannot hold. The two-tier headboard is upholstered and padded, comfortable to lean against with a laptop and strong enough to hold up to 66 lbs of books, tablets, and glasses on its shelves. An integrated power strip provides two Ac outlets and two Usb ports on a 5 ft cord, spaced so a phone charger and a reading lamp can share it. Led lighting wraps the frame with a choice of colors and modes, adjustable for speed and brightness through a remote or a phone app.Heavy-duty metal construction resists deforming and wobbling and supports up to 1100 lbs, while the slatted platform holds an 8 to 10 in mattress with no box spring needed. A 13.5 in footboard keeps blankets from sliding off, and the frame measures 86.5 x 64 x 40 in overall. Assembly is required.
