Symmetry either side of a bed is the thing the eye notices first in a bedroom, and it is nearly impossible to retrofit once one side has been furnished. A matched pair solves it at the outset. These two nightstands are identical, each measuring 15.7 in wide by 13.8 in deep and standing 23.2 in tall, sized for the gap between a bed and a wall without crowding the walkway. Each one has a charging station built into the body, which means both sides of the bed get power at the furniture rather than one person having the socket and the other running a cable across the floor. In a shared bedroom that detail settles an argument that otherwise recurs every night. Static capacity runs to 136 lb per table, a solid figure that comes from particleboard construction rather than a hollow shell, and each table weighs 28.7 lb assembled. That weight is enough to keep the piece planted when a drawer is pulled open quickly or when somebody leans on it getting out of bed.
