Not every home has room for a pole and a filled base. A wall-mounted hoop solves that by taking the game vertical, keeping the driveway or garden clear while still giving a proper backboard to shoot against. Reinforced connections carry the load into the wall, so the board stays firm rather than rattling with every shot. The proportions are what make practice worthwhile. A 28.5 by 18 inch backboard, 0.8 inches thick and built to resist shattering, returns a consistent rebound off the glass line instead of the dead bounce thin panels give. Behind it a solid metal rim with a 16 inch inner diameter carries a tear-proof polyester net, sized so shooting habits transfer to a full-size court. At 5.5 pounds the set is light enough for one person to hold in place while another fixes it, and the black finish keeps a clean line against a garage wall. It suits indoor and outdoor mounting equally. Installation must be carried out by an adult into a solid load-bearing surface with appropriate fixings, and nobody should hang from the rim.
