A portable basketball hoop whose pole is built in sections, and swapping sections is what opens up its full range. Run it as a 3-section pole and the rim sets to 8.04, 8.53, 9.02, 9.51 or 10.01 ft, taking play right up to regulation. Drop to a 2-section pole and the same hoop offers 5.58, 6.07, 6.56, 7.05 or 7.55 ft, with the lowest setting intended as a swimming pool mode. Every change is tool-free. Overall height runs 7.41 to 11.84 ft depending on configuration, so check the clearance above the spot before setting it up. The 43 by 27 inch backboard is PC, impact-resistant, shatter-proof and sun protective, carried in a full metal frame with ABS corner protectors, and two shock-absorbing springs behind the 18 inch rim take the force of a hard shot so it does not crack the board. Below, the enlarged 43.5 by 27.5 inch base fills with 97 lbs of sand or 97 lbs of water, and a 66 lbs sandbag can be added on top of it for extra hold, sold separately. Wheels let the 58 lbs system be repositioned rather than dismantled. Assembly is required and a basketball is not included. Because the same frame covers a poolside height and a regulation rim, one hoop can stay useful as the players using it grow.
