The pole is aluminum under a powder coating that keeps rust and scratches off it through repeated seasons outdoors, and the weather-resistant polyester holds up to sun and damp. Because the arm hangs the canopy from one side, the wide circle of shade drops over a six-seat table, a lounge pair or a corner of the pool deck with nothing standing in the middle. After dark, 32 solar LEDs take over, and the canopy still rotates fully and tilts to any angle.
