At 2.8 lbs the whole hamper lifts with one hand, yet a tightly woven bamboo shell on a metal wire frame keeps a 13.2-gal basket standing on its own without leaning. The lid keeps dust off folded items and hides the pile from view in a bedroom or bathroom. Inside, a soft poly-cotton liner lifts out and goes into the washing machine, so the hamper itself never needs scrubbing. A hidden base plate holds the 15-in by 24-in shape, dual side handles make carrying easy, and the frame folds down to slide into a narrow gap.
