Four metal wheels carry it and a handle up front steers it, so following the sun across a patio, garden, or balcony through a season takes a pull rather than a lift. At 5.5 lb empty it is light enough to pick up outright when the wheels will not do, and the frame still carries up to 33 lb of soil and plants once filled. Two separate planting sections divide the bed, which lets flowers grow on one side and herbs on the other without their roots competing, or keeps a single species split into two staggered plantings. The body is built from premium fir wood, a species chosen for outdoor use because it holds up to sun and damp without warping quickly, and the exposed grain reads as a decorative piece rather than a utility container.
