Round tables usually trade storage for their shape, because a circle has no square corners to build a drawer into. This one solves it three ways at once. The whole top lifts, rising from a closed 31.5 in x 19.5 in profile to 25 in of working height so a plate or a keyboard comes up to meet the user rather than the other way round. Under that top is a single square compartment measuring 18 in x 18 in x 6.5 in inside, sized for books and magazines to lie flat instead of being wedged in on edge. Around the rim sit four separate side shelves, each 19 in x 5 in x 6 in, which is exactly the format small sundries need: shallow enough that nothing gets lost at the back, and split four ways so different categories stay apart. The lift itself runs on gas lifters rated at 80N each, enough support to hold the top wherever it is released rather than letting it drift. The top carries 110 lbs when closed. For safety the tabletop should be raised and lowered with both hands. Underneath, the base is left open rather than boxed in, giving a spacious resting place for a furry friend beneath a table that would otherwise be a solid block. The structure is metal for rigidity with engineered wood surfaces over it, the assembled table weighs 39.5 lbs, and the two colorways are Teak with Black and White with Gold.
