Moon and cloud shapes define this 18.5 by 16 by 31.5 inch kitten tower, where a crescent top perch and a cloud-shaped cave on the large resting platform give the piece a nursery look while doing the work of ordinary cat furniture. A 12 by 10 inch private condo sits below for naps away from the light. The top layer holds up to 28 lbs and the condo up to 33 lbs, ratings that cover a kitten growing into a full adult, so the tower does not become surplus within a year. Jute rope wraps the scratching posts, resisting wear and giving claws a coarse target instead of a chair leg. Sponge padding under plush fabric lines the resting surfaces over an engineered board core, and at 14 lbs the tower moves easily between a bedroom, a nursery and a sunny window. Assembly is required, and the condo measures 12 by 10 inches inside. The tower spans 18.5 by 16 inches at the floor.
