An electric fuel transfer pump that moves 3.8 gallons a minute, so a can empties in the time it takes to hold the nozzle rather than the time it takes to lift and tip. Power comes three ways: 4 AA batteries for a job away from any outlet, a DC 12V cable, or a car cigarette lighter cable, and an LED indicator plus a side charging port keep the state of the pump visible. The AA batteries are not included. The nozzle carries a built-in hand trigger, which means fuel either runs continuously or stops the moment the trigger is released, and that is the difference between filling a tank by feel and filling it by control. A 51-in discharge hose and a 19-in intake hose give real reach, and the outlet lifts to a maximum height of 6 ft, enough to fill a raised tank without repositioning the can. Four gas can adapters, 2-in across and 1.6-in tall, seal the pump to different cans, though the can itself is not included. The pump handles gasoline, diesel, kerosene, non-potable water and light oil, and should never be used with corrosive liquids or drinking water. It runs reliably from 41 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
