Stability comes from reinforced back buckles that pull the case square plus anti-slip pads underneath that stop it drifting on smooth flooring. The base is raised off the ground, a small detail that keeps the bottom row of books clear of the dust and dirt that gathers at floor level and makes sweeping underneath possible. Materials are E0 grade particle board with MDF and a PVC surface, giving a 46-lb cabinet that is waterproof enough to take a wet cloth without swelling at the edges.
