A square offset umbrella measuring 8 ft on each side, hung from a side post so the ground beneath stays completely clear. Straight edges line up with a square dining table or a corner sofa in a way a round top never quite manages, and the rim sits 7 ft up so guests pass under without ducking. Daylight charges an onboard panel that runs the rib lights into the evening, switched at the post. The cross stand accepts the two sandbags in the box for a 116-lb hold, and releasing the lock swings the whole canopy around to follow the sun.
