A 13-ft wide retractable awning that shades a full sliding door span or a run of deck seating, then winds back flat against the wall once the sun drops. A long hand crank drives the arms out and in from ground level, so there is no ladder to climb and no motor to wire. Pitch adjusts anywhere from 5 to 35 degrees, which sends rain off the front edge instead of letting it pool in the fabric and lets the angle follow a low afternoon sun. PA-coated cloth cuts UV over the seating area, and the arms bolt to cement, brick, or wood walls.
