Smaller courts and junior balls call for a smaller ring, and this goal answers with a 15-inch inner diameter inside a 16-inch outer ring. The whole assembly measures 19.5 by 16 by 3 inches and weighs just 2 pounds, which keeps the load light on plywood backboards, garage doors and thin walls that would flex under a full-size rim. Heavy-duty tube stock goes through acid pickling, phosphating and powder coating before the hooks are welded on, so the finish holds up to rain and repeated net changes. The supplied net is weather-resistant and clips over the hooks without stretching. Bolts and anchors for wall, door and backboard mounting come in the carton. At 2 pounds the assembly puts a light load on those fasteners, which matters on a hollow door or a thin panel.
