Eight feet of tumbling room folds down into a compact block that slides into a closet or the trunk of a car. Two inches of high-density EPE foam sit beneath the black and pink PU leather cover, cushioning wrists, elbows, knees and back through cartwheels, walkovers and floor drills. The zippered cover lifts off for cleaning and the waterproof leather wipes down quickly after practice, while tear-resistant stitching holds the seams together through repeated folding. Hook and loop fasteners run along every side, so a second mat can join on to make one continuous tumbling strip when a longer run is needed. The four-fold construction and reinforced carry handles keep an 11-pound mat easy for a young gymnast to move between the living room, the garage and the back yard.
