An A-shaped frame gives this planter its stability, splaying the legs so a 35-inch tall unit carrying three loaded boxes does not tip on a lawn or deck. Two boxes sit at 13.5 inches and the third at 35 inches, keeping crops separated and giving the top row full sun. Each box carries up to 66 pounds, with interiors running 40 by 10 inches at an 8.5-inch depth. Two drainage holes per box release excess water so roots stay healthy rather than sitting wet. The fir boards are finished with waterproof paint for long outdoor use, and the assembled frame measures 44 inches wide by 36 inches deep and weighs 32 pounds. Standing 35 inches at its highest box, it also lifts fruiting plants clear of the ground.
