A folding screen that doubles as a gallery wall. Nine paulownia wood photo frames are set into the three panels, each sized for an 8 in by 6 in photo, so the divider does the usual job of breaking a sightline while also carrying a display that would otherwise need nails and a level. Every frame is mounted on a 360 degree swivel, so a photo can be turned to face either side of the screen or angled toward a chair, and the viewing angle can be reset whenever the furniture moves. Behind each frame is a backing clip rather than a glued panel, which makes photo replacement a matter of unclipping and sliding in the next print instead of dismantling the frame. The screen opens to 48 in wide by 67 in tall and folds to 16 in by 67 in by 2 in, thin enough to slide into any corner for compact storage. Metal hinges connect the panels and hold whatever angle they are set to, so the screen stands in a shallow V or a tighter zigzag on its own. Sturdy support legs promote overall stability, and protective foot pads under them shield hardwood or tile from scuffing while the screen is moved, with the frame sitting 3 in off the ground. Materials are paulownia wood with MDF and acrylic, giving a 17.5-lb screen that needs no assembly and stands up straight out of the box. It suits the home office living room reading room and more.
