Grip is handled by an anti-slip bottom along the full length plus anti-slip feet at the contact points, so the beam holds position during practice instead of drifting on carpet or laminate. It suits a complete beginner and someone well into their skills equally, since the low height and forgiving surface do not punish an early mistake while the rigid wood core still gives an experienced user something firm to work from.
