Paired buckets rather than one mean ash and unburned coals can be separated as the hearth is cleared. The large can holds 11.5 gallons in a 17.5 by 17.5 by 14 inch body and carries up to 31 pounds; the smaller one holds 5.8 gallons at 14 by 14 by 12 inches and takes 17.5 pounds. Together the set covers 16 gallons of capacity while weighing 9 pounds empty. Powder-coated metal is rust-proof and takes high temperatures, so warm ash can go straight in, and wooden bail handles keep hands off hot metal on the way to the bin. No assembly is needed. Beyond ash they hold pellets, kindling, logs or coals, and both wipe clean inside once emptied.
