Some walls need a mirror and some walls need a moment. This arched wall mirror is built for the second kind. Molded resin scrollwork curls around the crown and down both sides in a baroque pattern, finished in an antique gold tone that catches lamplight in the evening and daylight in the morning.Behind the ornament is a serious little piece of construction. A metal frame carries the resin detailing, an Mdf board supports the glass from the rear, and the whole panel finishes at just 1 in thick. At 30 in tall and 20 in wide it slots neatly above a console table, a powder room vanity or a narrow stretch of hallway wall where a larger mirror would feel overbearing.Hanging is already thought through. Two hooks are integrated into the back of the frame, and the required hardware ships in the box, so the 11 lb mirror goes up straight on the first attempt. The vintage styling is easier to place than it looks: it reads as traditional against wainscoting, as glamorous beside a velvet chair, and as a pleasant contrast in an otherwise minimal room.
