There is a reason solid wood frames keep coming back. This 36 in by 24 in mirror is bordered in rubberwood, a dense hardwood with visible grain that gives the piece weight in the hand and warmth on the wall, and a run of beading along the inside edge adds the vintage note that laminate frames never quite manage.Size is doing real work here. A rectangle this large throws daylight back across the floor and visually stretches the walls, which is how a modest bedroom or living room ends up feeling more open than the floor plan suggests. The glass is high grade and holds a clear reflection from any angle, so the mirror is as useful for a last check before leaving as it is for filling a bare wall.Installation was clearly considered. Hooks come pre-installed on the back, so the 16.5 lb mirror is ready to line up the moment you unwrap it, and the 1 in thick frame keeps it sitting close to the wall. Hang it vertically over a console or horizontally above a bed the rustic styling is easygoing enough to sit alongside farmhouse, coastal and contemporary furniture without needing anything else to match.
